Team 41 makes preparations for 2010 season.

Karl Fredrickson Voted 2009 Robert E. Petersen Award Winner

Welcome to the Team 41 Racing website. This site is designed to introduce you to Karl Fredrickson and Team 41. Content is added to this site often so please check back for current updates and more pictures!

Karl Fredrickson has been racing for more than 20 years and writing about racing for almost as long! After taking the 2008 season to rebuild the car, and running a very limited schedule in 2009 to rebuild the racing program, Karl is currently preparing to run a pretty full schedule in the Modified Racing Series. Karl has raced, and won, in many local divisions including his first win in a Modified in 2007 at Star Speedway. When he isn't on the track, or in the garage working on the 41 car, he is writing about racing and often the 41 car is used as a foundation for those stories. Karl is the Editor of Dick Berggren's Speedway Illustrated magazine. Many of the technical articles in each issue are also contributed by Karl. Be sure to pick up an issue and check out his work! Karl was recently awarded the SEMA MPMC Media Member of the Year. Karl joins an elite group of past award winners including Dick Berggren. For Speedway Illustrated personnel to have won the award twice in the past couple of years is quite an honor!

This year Karl will be working with an experienced and ever enthusiastic crew: Neil Danson, Jason Marr, Dave Starr, Pete Hurn, Frank Luce, Darren Bean, Sharon Rodgers, and Donna Charest. Neil brings years of racing and mechanic experience and also handles the spotter's role. Jason is a successful driver in the Late Model Sportsman Division at Lee Speedway and brings a wealth of knowledge to our team and also serves as hauler driver. Dave has been a mechanic for nearly 30 years, including 12 years serving in the Army as a mechanic. Pete has worked with Karl for many years as a crew chief. Pete's continued involvement and encouragement is greatly appreciated. Frank is fairly new to the crew and brings enthusiasm and a can do attitude to the shop and the track. Darren is an experienced webmaster and video expert who will be contributing to this website as well as maintaining the MarrMotorSports.com site. Sharon is an experienced PR/Marketing Director lending her talents to help promote Team 41 and bring us to the next level of competition. Donna works on the website, takes photos, and pretty much makes sure all our visitors feel welcome!

Together, the members of Team 41 hope to run hard, have fun, and continue to gain experience in this exciting series. We hope to see you at the track this year!
